Who we are
UAVThermal is a specialist supplier of UAV thermal cameras, stabilized drone gimbal systems and EO/IR payload cameras. We serve inspection crews, public safety teams, system integrators and OEM platform builders who need day-and-night airborne vision they can act on.
Our catalogue spans more than thirty models across four families: AX Series FPV and UAV gimbals, MV Series micro gimbal cameras from 110 g, OP Series spherical EO/IR payloads up to the flagship OP-125A with 120x hybrid zoom and 2000 m laser ranging, and LX Series square multi-sensor payloads.
What we believe a payload should do
A payload earns its place on an aircraft by making one field decision easier: locate a person faster, prove an asset fault, confirm a target, or document a site. That is why every product page on this site publishes full specifications, quantified detection distances under Johnson criteria and EN 62676-4, and downloadable datasheets and user manuals — so you can compare like for like before you commit.
Engineering and integration support
Our payloads integrate through open interfaces: MAVLink, UART, S.BUS and Ethernet control, RTSP H.264/H.265 video, and 20–53 VDC wide-input power. Tell us your platform and mission profile through the quote form and our engineers will recommend a payload configuration, wiring plan and control setup. CAD models, integration drawings and sample imagery are available for qualified projects.
Manufacturing and fulfilment
UAVThermal products are engineered and fulfilled together with our manufacturing partner AllXF, a UAV gimbal and payload camera specialist. This partnership gives our customers direct access to factory-level technical support, firmware updates and after-sales service.
How we publish specifications
Every figure on this site is taken from the published specification for that model, not from marketing copy. Where a detection distance is quoted we state the standard it was measured against, because Johnson criteria and EN 62676-4 return figures roughly an order of magnitude apart for identical hardware. Where a figure is not published for a model, the table shows a dash rather than an estimate.
- Full specification tables on every product page, with downloadable datasheets and user manuals.
- Side-by-side comparison tables so a model can be judged against the rest of its series, not in isolation.
- Detection, recognition and identification distances explained in our DRI reference, with the two standards shown separately.
- Independent guidance on what to ignore when reading a spec sheet, in how to read a thermal spec sheet.
Where to start
If you know the platform and mission but not the model, these are the fastest routes in:
- Gimbal systems — stabilized mounts for a camera you already own, compared on weight, axes and payload capacity.
- Payload cameras — integrated EO/IR units compared on imaging resolution, weight and stabilization.
- Applications — mission-led guidance for inspection, public safety, search and rescue and security.
- Technology reference — how the sensors, stabilization, zoom and ranging actually work.
- What a thermal drone camera costs — budget framing before you shortlist.
